Dream Catcher Sleepovers agrees that in line with Government guidance, business activities should only take place where social distancing, safe systems of work, suitable protection measurements for customers and staff and good disinfecting procedures for equipment can be established.
Sleepovers can only be provided in line with the current lockdown restrictions.
All equipment hired is only to be used in one room within the household and should not be moved between rooms after installation.
Cross contamination between households will be eliminated by introducing a rest period of 72 hours between hires along with our usual cleaning policy for before and after use.
Adequate PPE ( a mask) will be worn by staff and hands will be sanitised frequently throughout the installation and collection of the equipment.
On arrival of Dream Catcher Sleepovers staff, all household members must vacate the room until full installation / collection is complete.
Equipment will be thoroughly cleaned / disinfected after collection and again before the next hire. Any of our usual soft furnishings that cannot be washed at 60 degrees will not be included in the hire. Additional cleaning information can be found in our cleaning policy and also our full risk assessment.
Customers must notify Dream Catcher Sleepovers in advance of delivery if there are any members of the household who have tested positive for Covid 19 or are presenting any symptoms of Covid 19 in the run up to or during the hire.
Dream Catcher Sleepovers will notify the customer if at any point any members of our household being to present any symptoms of Covid 19.
Dream Catcher Sleepovers reserves the right to cancel the hire if either of these situations arise. Cancellations will follow the usual cancelation policy which will be agreed during booking.
Your health and safety is very important to us at Dream Catcher Sleepovers and so we take every step we can to ensure that all of our equipment is cleaned to a very high standard before we bring it into your homes.
1. Bedding / Duvets / Cushions
1.1 All sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and cushion covers to be washed at 60 degrees using non biological and antibacterial detergents after every use.
1.2 All duvets, pillows and cushions to be steam cleaned using a high temperature steam cleaner after every use, machine washed at 60 degrees once per month and replaced every 6 months.
1.3 Cushions that are not machine washable to be steam cleaned using a high temperature steam cleaner after every use.
2. Tent Covers and Frames
2.1 Tent covers to be removed from their frames and washed at 60 degrees using non biological and antibacterial detergents after every use. Fabric softeners are not to be used as these prevent the covers from being effectively fire retardant.
2.2 Tent frames will be cleaned using an antibacterial spray and soft cloth.
3. Air Beds / Pumps
3.1 Air beds will be inflated to check for damage and wiped clean with warm soapy water and dried using a soft cloth.
3.2 Where a pump has been provided to the customer as a “back up”, this will be cleaned using an antibacterial spray and a soft cloth.
4. Tables / Lights / Accessories
4.1 All tables, lights and accessories to be cleaning using an antibacterial spray and soft cloth after every use.
4.2 All soft toys or complicated shaped accessories to be cleaned using a high temperature steam cleaner after every use.
4.3 All drinks cups or bottles to be cleaned at a high temperature in the dishwasher.
5.1 The interior of our vehicle is to be cleaned between each hire using an antibacterial spray and a soft cloth.
5.2 All equipment is to be placed on a soft throw inside the vehicle which is to be washed at 60 degrees using non biological and antibacterial detergents after each hire.
Dream Catcher Sleepovers have undertaken an accredited Infection Control and Prevention course before following this Method Statement.
COSHH Assessment is Not Applicable – No hazardous substances will be used during the set up or dismantling of the equipment.
Applicable Risk Assessments are in place and followed during every set up and collection.
1.1) Necessary arrangements should be made by the customer to ensure that there is a clear path to the site of installation. There should be no one working / walking in the immediate vicinity of the designated area both during installation and collection.
1.2) The customer should ensure that there is adequate parking space directly outside of the delivery area. Where this is not possible, the customer should contact Dream Catcher Sleepovers to advise prior to the installation and collection.
2) Delivery / Unloading
2.1) Appropriate PPE will be worn when loading equipment into our vehicle and handled only by ourselves.
2.2) On arrival hand sanitiser will be applied followed by fresh PPE (gloves and a mask).
2.3) All items will be off loaded by hand by Dream Catcher Sleepover staff only and temporarily situated in the immediate vicinity of the work area, taking care to avoid any damage to the equipment and their surrounding areas.
3.1) The area designated for the installation should be clear from any debris and or furniture. Area should also have been measured to ensure enough space for the equipment whilst still leaving a safe emergency exit route.
3.2) All household members should vacate the room during the installation process.
3.3) Each air bed is safely inflated using a mains powered air pump.
3.4) Bedsheets and duvets will be fitted neatly onto the beds ensuring there are no trip hazards.
3.5) The tents will be placed securely over the beds with care to avoid any damage to the equipment and their surrounding areas.
3.6) The fixings on the tent will be tightened to reduce the risk of slippage.
3.7) CE certified lights will be securely wrapped around the legs of the tent and also strung between the tents (depending on theme).
3.8) CE certified accessories will then be added to the installation to complete the set up.
4.1) The customer must ensure that all items that do not belong to Dream Catcher Sleepovers are removed from the tents and tables prior to collection.
4.2) Again, on arrival, hand sanitiser will be applied followed by fresh PPE (gloves and a mask).
4.3) All household members should vacate the room during the collection process.
4.4) All equipment will be taken down with care to avoid any damage to itself and the area it is in and loaded into our vehicle.
5) Cleaning of Equipment
5.1) All sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases and cushion covers will be washed at 60 degrees using non biological and antibacterial detergents.
5.2) Air beds will be inflated to check for damage and wiped clean with warm soapy water and dried using a soft cloth.
5.3) Tent covers will be removed from their frames and washed at 60 degrees using non biological and antibacterial detergents.
5.4) Tent frames will be cleaned using an antibacterial spray and soft cloth.
5.5) All other accessories will also be cleaned using an antibacterial spray and soft cloth.
5.6) All soft furnishings that are not washing machine safe will be cleaned using a high temperature steam cleaner.
5.7) The inside of our vehicle will be cleaned between each hire using an antibacterial spray.
